"JUNIOR EUROVISION IS BACK! Applications are now open for 2023. 

Do you have a great singing voice? Are you between the ages of 9 and 14 years?

This is your chance!

Adare Productions are putting a call out for talented young singers who will be aged between 9 and 14 years this Autumn. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for a talented youngster or group to represent Ireland at an international level.

The Irish heats will take place this March in Dublin. The winner will go on to represent Ireland at the JUNIOR EUROVISION Song Contest 2023. With over 33 million viewers across Europe the show is something  spectacular to be a part of. In 2022, Sophie Lennon came 4th in the contest with her song ‘Solas’!

This year, could it be you?

To enter all you need is an amazing singing voice, there is no original song necessary! Applications are open to solos, duets and groups of up to a maximum of 6 people. The closing date for entries is the 15th Of February 2023. To apply all you need is a 40-60 second clip of the applicant singing.

Following on from a successful online schedule over the past 18 months, the Mayo School of Music are delighted to be reopening the doors of both our Kiltimagh & Castlebar Schools on Monday the 6th of September. 

We are NOW ENROLLING new students for a September start in both of our schools, with new slots available for Singing, Guitar, Piano and Junior Groups (Ages 4-7) in our Castlebar venue. We are continually developing our school curriculums and are currently in the process of hiring additional teachers in a wide variety of instruments and genres for both venues! With an array of new highly qualified, energetic and bubbly teachers there has never been a better time to sign-up with the Mayo School of Music!

Singing Lessons

We are now adding extra times for singing lessons in our Castlebar school. These classes are one-to-one and will be held on Fridays with our amazing teacher Róisín. 

There is also now space on Fridays for our Junior Groups (4 - 7 yrs)- introduction to various instruments & singing.

Vocal tuition is available on a One to One basis in both our Kiltimagh and Castlebar Schools. Catering for all levels and abilities. These lessons are delivered by the highly sought after Róisín Kilgannon who works with students to find their own strengths and abilities. 


Through Róisín's expert guidance students will learn skills such as vocal warmups, various vocal exercises, pitch practice, stage skills, breathing techniques and tonal techniques to bring their singing to the next level. 


These vocal lessons not only work on developing the students voice and ability, but also work to develop and build students confidence. With lessons geared towards developing stage presence, confidence and overall enjoyment of performing in both public and private settings. 


Preparation for the Royal Irish Academy of Music Exams, State Examinations such as Junior and Leaving Certificate Music Practical’s, Musicals, Choirs, Various genres of singing are catered, with specialized guidance available in all aspects of Musical Theatre, and everything in between.

Our Junior Group classes are for kids aged 4 - 7 years. These classes are an introduction to music education and performance. This is a fun way for kids to enjoy learning and playing music at an early age. Students will learn to play various instruments along with techniques for singing. We also include sean-nos dancing as part of our course. These classes are a great way for kids to gain confidence by performing in a group setting.
