Victoria Burcovschi

Victoria Burcovschi grew up in a deeply musical household, immersing herself in the world of violin from a young age. She began her journey with the Mayo youth orchestra at a tender age, progressing through various esteemed ensembles such as the Mayo youth choir, Mayo Concert Orchestra, Galway Trad Orchestra, and Foxford Trad Orchestra, all under the guidance of luminaries like Stephen Doherty and Michael Rooney.

Her musical prowess extends beyond orchestral settings; Victoria frequently graces the masses at St. Patrick’s church, lending her talent to solemn occasions like funerals, communions, and confirmations. Additionally, she is a familiar presence at weddings and charity concerts, collaborating with orchestras, choirs, and soloists alike. Notably, Victoria recently dazzled audiences at the Three Tenors Concert in Mayo.

Her dedication to her craft is evident in her achievements, having attained distinction in grade 8 violin. Victoria's musical journey has taken her far and wide, often with her trusty violin in tow, performing with the Mayo youth orchestra in countries like Portugal and Italy. She also embarked on memorable tours with the Mayo Concert Orchestra, including standout performances of "Fáinne Óir" in illustrious venues like Broadway New York, the University of Limerick, and the Olympia in Dublin. Television audiences may recognize her from her appearance on TG4's "Raolta agus Gaolta" in 2019, where she shared the stage with her mother on piano and sister on harp.

Beyond performance, Victoria is passionate about music education, relishing the opportunity to work with both children and adults. Her teaching approach emphasizes a light-hearted and enjoyable atmosphere, fostering a love for music while exploring diverse genres such as classical, jazz, and traditional music. She is eager to share her wealth of knowledge with aspiring violinists who share her passion for musical discovery.
