-
Yes! We offer trial lessons so you can meet your tutor, get a feel for the school, and make sure it’s the right fit for you. Please note there is a charge for one lesson for the trial session.
-
If a suitable time becomes available and you cannot take it, we will offer you the next available option. If multiple offers are declined, you may be asked to rejoin the waiting list.

Please see our current fee structure on our website under Prices, or contact us directly for more details.

It’s best to wait until your first lesson so the teacher can advise on the appropriate instrument and sizing. If you already have your own instrument, that’s great! We always encourage students to have their own, as regular practice is essential.
Please note: The Mayo School of Music does not hire instruments, but local music shops may be able to help with rentals or purchases.
-
Most lessons are between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the program and the student’s needs.
-
Students require a weighted, full-size digital piano or an acoustic piano for effective practice. A small unweighted keyboard is not sufficient for piano tuition.
